WirelessHD™
Ultra-thin plasma display technology and WirelessHD™ technology enable flexible installations. WirelessHD is a millimeter wave wireless AV transmission technology established by the WirelessHD consortium, an organization comprising Broadcom, Intel, LG Electronics, NEC, Panasonic, Samsung Electronics, SiBEAM, Sony, and Toshiba as promoters. WirelessHD has a maximum transmission data rate of approximately 4 Gbps, which enables full-HD uncompressed video and audio signals to be transmitted for distances of more than 10 meters in a room.

600Hz Sub-field Drive*
600Hz technology lets you view superb full-HD motion and still images with 1,080 lines of resolution**. For even greater clarity with motion images, Panasonic uses its own unique image-analysis technology. This technology converts the motion in each scene into data. And each frame is practically displayed for a shorter length of time than in previous systems, to reduce aftereffects.

New VIERA models incorporate an improved panel production process and the new Real Black Drive system. A pre-discharge control system, the Real Black Drive system combines with NeoPDP technology to achieve next-generation black reproduction. THX® Certified Display
THX reproduces movie images exactly as the movie's creators intended them. In the early 1980's, Lucasfilm, established the THX Standard to stipulate the audio and video quality criteria for cinema environments. The overall aim was to improve the experience of cinema-goers and faithfully recreate the audio and visual ambience that film makers intended. VIERA meets the high standards set by the THX Certified Display Program.
24p Cinematic Playback
VIERA recreates the unique atmosphere of movie images. Enjoy cinema quality in your own home. The images that are recorded onto movie film at 24 frames per second (fps) are reproduced at four times that speed by 24p Cinematic Playback. This achieves film like reproduction than 2:3 pull down method.
Wide Color Viewing Angle
View breathtaking images with rich, vivid colors from anywhere in the room. Because plasma TVs are self-illuminating, images look beautiful from any angle. Black areas do not fade, and colors look virtually the same no matter where you sit.
Newly Developed Speaker Unit
A newly developed, slim speaker unit, has made it possible to produce deep bass down to 100Hz. The sounds are also clear and robust, with reduced phase interference over a wide frequency range.
BBE ViVA HD3D Sound
BBE ViVA is new High Definition 3D Sound technology which integrates a 3Denhancement effect with BBE High Definition Sound. ViVA creates an authentic and exciting 3D sound effect from stereo speakers while preserving the clarity, definition, presence and texture for which BBE High Definition Sound is noted. BBE ViVA is now being offered to BBE licensees in the consumer electronics industry.
VIERA Image Viewer
It's easy to view full-HD images with the SD card slot. Watch and show your photos and motion images right after you take them. Simply insert an SD card into VIERA to display photos and full-HD videos on the large screen. You can also choose from among 3 types of background music and 4 display effects. It's much more fun when you can view them on a large-screen HDTV with family and friends in 1920 x 1080-pixel high definition and a wide 16:9 aspect ratio.
VIERA Link
VIERA Link allows interconnected operation of various AV devices using only the VIERA remote control, by simply connecting the devices to each other by an HDMI cable.
Viera Tools
With the new VIERA Tools user interface, simply press a button on the remote control and icons such as the photos or movies from the menu screen. Now you can just select the one you want. This kind of easy operation means you have more fun and less hassle.
Game Mode
In Game mode, quicker image response increases the enjoyment of video games when a game console is connected to the TV. What's more VIERA produces the dark images in video games more clearly. This mode works anti-image retention (wobbling) too.
