Definitive Technology Mythos One Tower Speakers Mythos One is a sleek and sexy 48-1/2" tall tower with striking contemporary styling, which combines a beautiful polished extruded aircraft-grade aluminum cabinet (available in silver or black) with a tempered glass base. Special care has been taken to assure total rigidity of the cabinet and PolyStone™ baffle, which along with the utilization of proprietary damping guarantees a totally inert and non-resonant structure. Inside the cabinet is a D'Appolito array of two 5-1/4" cast basket high-definition midrange Definitive drivers surrounding a 1" pure aluminum dome Definitive tweeter. There are also two 5-1/4" cast basket high-definition midbass/bass drivers coupled to two pressure driven 5-1/4" planar low frequency radiators. A newly designed Linkwitz-Riley crossover network perfectly blends the drivers into a sonically seamless whole. The Mythos One's styling is designed to perfectly complement flat panel TVs (whether stand, tabletop or wall mounted) as well as stand or cabinet mounted CRT TVs, rear projection TVs and front projection TVs. Of course they also look terrific as stand-alone audio only speakers. Although the Mythos One is a full range system, they are also designed to be combined with a Definitive powered subwoofer such as one of Definitive's new SuperCubes®. Mythos One Towers can be combined with a Mythos Three Center Channel along with a Definitive sub and a pair of Mythos Two used as rear/side surround (or any of the other fine Definitive rear surrounds) to complete a state-of-the-art home theater system.
